It is sheer folly to think we know
what God holds deep within His heart and mind
Our creator, all knowing, all
powerful, ever present, who overshadows even time
We the finite have the audacity to
criticize God and point out flaws in His design
Lauding our wisdom over His which
could open our spiritual eyes that are blind
There is none but Jesus who walked
this earth that will ever truly know His ways
We live in a temporal reality where
God has numbered our hairs as well as our days
Logic will not save us because it is
but the servant of reason whose dictates it obeys
Leading us down the primrose path
where the devil patiently in deadly ambush lays
God is not in the business of
explaining all to us that's why faith is the bottom line
To trust in Him as Job learned is the
only surety of true peace for all mankind
Thus allowing God to bypass our
intellects and graft us into Jesus, the living vine
Who has been made unto to us wisdom,
the true source of answers we yearn to find
In this modern world we've let this
kind of real knowledge and wisdom slip away
No institute of higher learning can
teach it to you no matter how much you pay
It's a gift from Jesus for which you
need to thank Him and for it's revelation pray
Perhaps, it simply starts by
admitting to God we don't know, those words we hate to say
We fear letting go, giving up control
if you will, even shuttering to put it in God's hand
Thus preferring to resolve the
question with answers based on the faulty wisdom of man
Building on foundation of human
experience, just about as reliable as dry shifting sand
When we could have simply asked God
and He would have given us a new set of plans
Sometimes God's purpose is to conceal
more of Himself than He is wiling to reveal
His deepest mysteries remain
unfathomed to this very day on which He has placed a seal
Hidden blueprints of creation in
everything for which scientists seek with great zeal
Even our doctors can only operate on
us but it only God that has designed a body that heals
Many questions seldom directed to God
who is the sole repository of the knowledge of things
Maybe how He hung the stars in the
sky or perhaps how He layered feathers on an angel's wings
We certainly have more answers if we
acknowledge Jesus alone as the undisputed King of Kings
Or we'll continue to wrestle with
worldly temporal answers that come to often with hidden strings!
